The attribute "warm waters" derives from the fumarole: gas of volcanic origin which, rising from the rock faults, warms the temperature of the seawater. Moreover, unlike the other sandy beaches of the island, with their characteristic ebony colour, the Spiaggia delle Acque Calde has white sand, with golden and iridescent reflections, thanks to the high presence of sulfur.
